Alumasc Structural Metal Decking is a range of loadbearing, profiled steel decking sheets for use in both insulated and uninsulated metal deck roof constructions. It can also be used as permanent formwork for concrete floors.
Product options
Alumasc Structural Metal Decking is available in a range of 5 profiles. Each profile can be supplied in a range of up to 11 thicknesses. Where exposed internally, the profiles are available with a white polyester surface coating. Other colours are available to order, subject to quantity.
Softline
Sheets of ER 45 profile can be supplied curved, with a minimum radius of 400mm and a maximum radius of 4m. This gives the designer the freedom to create soft lines in façades, canopies and other building details.

Anti-condensation coating
The anti-condensation coating is a mixture of perlite and cellulose fibres in a water based binder which is sprayed onto the surface of the profiled sheets. The coating can absorb 1.5 litres of water per m².
Sound absorption
Building interiors with predominately hard surfaces can make speech difficult to hear because of reverberation. Alumasc Structural Metal Decking with its perforated webs backed by acoustically absorbent mineral wool can provide a solution to this problem.
Accessories
Profiling sealing strips are available for each profile. They are manufactured from foam rubber and sized so as to compress slightly when the decking is secured, creating a seal between the inside and the outside of the building. Fire resistant profile strips are also available.
